What is Shikaku?
Shikaku (四角に切れ, meaning "divide into squares") is a Japanese logic puzzle invented by Nikoli — the same publisher behind Sudoku and Picross. The goal is to divide the entire grid into non-overlapping rectangles so that each rectangle contains exactly one number, and that number equals the rectangle's area. Every puzzle has exactly one solution, reachable by logic alone — no guessing required.
